1. Legal Entity & Ownership

1.1 Company Identity

The company shall be known as Kiamumbi Water Project (hereinafter referred to as “KWP”).

1.2 Ownership Status

KWP is a private small-scale water provider, wholly owned and managed by the Kiamumbi Farmers Cooperative Society. KWP operates under the relevant laws and regulations of Kenya and is registered under the cooperative society framework.

2. Vision & Mission

Vision: To be a trusted provider of clean, safe, and reliable water for every household in Kiamumbi.

Mission: To deliver affordable, high-quality, and sustainable water services that improve the health and well-being of the community.

3. Core Objectives

  • Operate in full compliance with standards set by WASREB, KIWASCO, and Kiambu County Government.
  • Ensure financial viability through efficient billing, revenue collection, and prudent management.
  • Foster community participation in decision-making and service delivery.
  • Supply clean, safe, and potable water to residents within the Kiamumbi locality.
  • Create local employment and support regional economic development.

4. Governance Structure

Board of Management

  • Appointed by Kiamumbi Farmers Cooperative.
  • Min 5 and Max 9 members.
  • Responsible for policy & strategic planning.
  • Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer.

Day-to-Day Management

  • Led by Project Technical Manager.
  • Accountant & Billing Officers report to Manager.
  • Plumbers & Technicians support operations.
  • Direct reporting to the Board of Management.
